In the near future the authorities of Slubice are planning to gain new foreign investors. The workforce of 6.000 are ready to begin work.

As a result of the cooperation between the Kostrzyn–Słubice Special Economic Zone and the local authorities of Słubice a new map of the potential territories for investments has emerged. We have a new investment offer – said the Mayor of Słubice Ryszard Bodziarski.

There are six new sites. Three of them are particularly attractive. – Two are the size of 50 ha and one the size of 200 ha they belong to the Agricultural Propriety Agency and we expect that those sites will fully satisfy investors – he added.

The Kostrzyn–Słubice Special Economic Zone has supported and serviced Polish and foreign investors since 1997. The Zone provides investors with lands and with the entire infrastructure, and also a package of tax incentives. At the present moment there are 100 companies operating in the K-S SEZ. From January 2007 decision of the Council of Ministers enlarged the area of the K-S SEZ by 92,1208 ha and today the total area of the K-S SEZ is 899,0141 ha.

Entrepreneurs who start business activity in the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone are entitled to regional support and to receive tax exemptions from one of the two following categories: investment costs or the creation of new jobs.

The support of the Polish Government and also local government, who make up 90% at the shareholders of K-S SEZ, guarantee investors a friendly working environment during the investment process.

Currently, the authorities of Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone and Słubice are actively seeking to gain new investors. As a result of a recent fire in the city of Słubice almost 6.000 people have lost their jobs and many will be looking for new employment.

The six new sites, which are ready to accept investors are areas from 2,5 ha to 200 ha. Mainly they are fields with an industrial allocation, equipped and situated close to the A2 highway which provides easy and direct access.
