The Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) grew in November 2006 by over 16 hectares, in Knurow near to Gliwice.
The director of the Gliwice Sub-zone said during the Tuesday’s press conference, three investors were interested in investing at Knurow.
The new sites of the KSEZ are well connected, lying close to the main road No 78.
Also of interest might be other sites in towns close to Gliwice. In Zabrze another SEZ industrial Park is due to be established. The area of this zone is to be increased by almost 158 hectares from 12,6 at present.

In the coming years the zone will support first and foremost five industrial parks – in Zabrze, also in proximity to Czestochowa, in Dabrowa Gornicza, in the
Zywiec area, as well as around Opole, 15 km from the Silesian border.
The board of the KSEZ, envisage in 2007 new investments to the value of a billion PLN and at least three thousand new jobs.
